UAFX Max Preamp & Dual Compressor provides a dual stereo compressor with three iconic guitar effects, UA 610 tube preamp and EQ, custom footswitch and sidechain bass filter, all controllable via the UAFX Control app.

Based on the award-winning UAFX series with 'dual-engine' processing, Max Preamp & Dual Compressor integrates three legendary limiters and an iconic tube preamp into one pedal.

With this pedal, you can experience the perfect compression of the UA 1176, developed directly by Universal Audio founder Bill Putnam. Max offers the same FET compressor used for decades to define legendary guitar sounds in the studio, as well as the tube compression of the Teletronix LA-2A, an iconic optical tube limiter that offers smoother and warmer dynamics control than the 1176 model. In addition, you can fine-tune compression with the pedal's exclusive Ratio function for even more effective limiter intervention than vintage hardware versions and UAD plug-ins. Then to achieve lo-fi compression and funky overdrive, there is also the classic Dyna Comp.

In addition to all this, Max also includes the legendary UA 610 tube preamp and equalizer, perfect for achieving the detail and character of the original hardware that indelibly marked music production over the past decades. Max then allows you to easily stack compressors in any combination to achieve an unprecedented range of sounds and textures.

With the UAFX Control application you can change equalizer settings, achieve series/parallel operation, and add a sidechain bass filter for fully customized compression and preamp effects.

Max Preamp & Dual Compressor requires a modern 400 mA isolated power supply (sold separately).
