It uses a TK51 capsule, which is a dual-backplate condenser capsule, a feature that contributes to its frequency response and its ability to handle high sound pressure levels, closely resembling the sound of the C12. The tube used, on the other hand, is a 6072A, which contributes to the microphone's characteristic warm, vintage sound.
