Technical Features.

2 x SSL Microphone Inputs/Line Level: The SSL 2+ MKII features two high-performance microphone preamplifiers designed by SSL. With a wide gain range of 64 dB and an incredible dynamic range of 116.5 dB, the mic preamps sound incredible, with all the detail and punch you expect from the world's leading manufacturer of mixing consoles.
The design uses a combination of carefully chosen low-noise discrete transistors along with ICs to deliver performance far beyond that usually associated with a bus-powered portable interface. The SSL 2+ MKII's ultra-low noise preamplifiers are capable of getting the best out of any microphone.
Both channels feature independently switchable high-pass filters to eliminate background noise and, for condenser microphones, switchable +48V phantom power, so you can record with a variety of microphones at once.
The XLR combo inputs found on the SSL 2+ MKII also function as line inputs, designed to capture keyboards, synths, samplers, drum machines or external audio processors such as EQs and compressors. With a huge dynamic range of 117 dB and a maximum input level of +24 dBu, the line inputs of the SSL 2+ MKII are compatible with all professional line-level equipment.

4 x Balanced Outputs: Located on the back of the SSL 2+ MKII are four balanced outputs for connecting your studio monitors, rackmount, FX pedals and more. With professional-grade outputs, the SSL 2+ MKII offers a dynamic range of 120 dB, allowing you to hear every detail of your productions-from the subtlest riff to the deepest bass line.

2 x Headphone Outputs. The SSL 2+ MKII has two headphone outputs, conveniently located on the front panel. These redesigned outputs (with high-current NJM headphone amplifiers) can drive any type of headphones, from small in-ear monitors to models with large diaphragms.
Now with an outstanding dynamic range of 119.5 dB (compared to 111 dB in the previous model), you'll have all the performance and clarity you need for accurate monitoring in any environment.
The SSL 2+ MKII's front-panel 'Mix' control allows you to blend USB (DAW) output with live inputs for zero-latency monitoring.
Headphone outputs 'A' and 'B' have independent volume control and can also be fed from different DAW outputs; perfect for creating independent monitor mixes for 'artist' and 'sound engineer'.

2 x Hi-Z/Instrument Inputs: In addition to mic/line inputs, the SSL 2+ MKII has two instrument (DI) inputs with auto-sensing located on the front panel. Just as on a guitar amplifier, these Hi-Z inputs allow you to record guitar, bass, or any instrument with a high impedance output.

Legacy 4K Analogue Enhancement Circuit: SSL 4000 series consoles (often referred to as '4K') are renowned for imparting a unique 'mojo' to the sounds and instruments that pass through them.
