Moog delivers the Minimoog Model D again

Moog Music has officially restarted the manufacturing of the Minimoog Model D, the first portable synth still considered the par excellence synthesizer.

In Asheville, head quarter of the American brand, they have decided to replicate the original production flow and the same components of the first version.

No modifications have been made to the signal path and to the sound generation engine. Some new functions have been added to further enrich the feature set.

The new Minimoog Model D edition includes a Fatar keyboard with velocity and after pressure, a dedicated LFO with square and triangle waves, CV outputs for pitch, gate, velocity and after pressure, MIDI interface and a modified mixer to increase signal overdrive and sound pressure.

For the first time the Minimoog Model D includes a spring loaded pitch wheel.

Every single unit of the Minimoog Model D is hand built in the Moog Factory in Asheville by the Moog employees who are also the Company owners.
