Building on the success of the Wavestation, Korg has further expanded the Wave Sequencing technology for this Wavestate MKII synthesizer. With Wavestation, wave sequences had in-depth control over each step for duration, sample and pitch.

This allowed the user to create unique sound patterns that repeated. And if those same patterns could be more organic Well, with Wave Sequencing 2.0 you can achieve that and more.

Wave Sequencing 2.0 gives you new multiple ways to edit and interact with your patterns. You can now split tempo, sample sequences, and melody; allowing you to interact and manipulate each parameter independently. You can also edit and transform new parameters such as shapes, gate times and values on the step sequencer.

Each of these independent parameters is known as a "Lane." With each lane you can decide how many steps you need, as well as dictate the start, end and loop points.

As the sequence progresses, each of the lanes is combined creating the output. This gives you endless possibilities, allowing you to create predetermined patterns that transform and evolve along with their parameters. You can also modulate a wide range of controls including Lane start, end and loop points for each note.

Packed with controls, knobs, and switches; Wavestate MKII provides hands-on, in-depth control for creating cutting-edge sequences. Wavestate MKII includes everything you might need such as filters, envelopes, LFOS, effects, and eight programmable modulation knobs.

The ergonomic layout and in-depth control panel also make the synthesizer perfect for live performance. In addition to pitch bend and modulation wheels, Wavestate MKII offers a Vector joystick for full 360-degree expression.

Almost everything on the Wavestate MKII can be modulated. Most front panel knobs and on-screen parameters can be changed using the modulation offered. For further customization, you can also modulate each of the individual steps within a sequence. Built-in modulation processors allow you to modify mod signals, providing the means to dictate quantization, attenuation, curvature and other settings.

Roll the dice, once or twice. Capture your inspiration with the intuitive randomization control. Represented by a dice icon on the front panel, Wavestate MKII allows you to randomize parts/the entire sound. Randomization of settings allows you to get new ideas and promote your creativity. You can also randomize individual parameters such as filter, Sample Lena, and effects.

Packed with fresh sounds. With a sample library in the gigabyte range, Wavestate MKII gives you a wide range of cutting-edge sounds that are ready to use right out of the box. The vast library of sounds is a great starting point for creating sequences. The samples consist of sounds from Plugin Guru, Korg, and some built-in sounds taken from the Kronos and Krome libraries. It also contains all the original Wavestation samples and a library of wave sequences. Wavestate MKII now allows you to use up to 96 stereo voices, offering high-end clarity for pristine sound.

One of the most versatile features of the Wavestate MKII is the extensive filter library. Add a touch of vintage character with the powerful MS-20 lowpass/highpass filters or start with the smooth modern sound of the Polysix Lowpass. It also features a bespoke collection of resonant lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and 2-pole and 4-pole band reject filters. Also included is Korg's Multi Filter, which allows you to create blends of multiple modes simultaneously.

With a whole host of superb effects and layering options, Wavestate MKII is perfect for creating live sets. Production-level effects include compressors, EQ, choruses, flangers, faser, stereo delay, Wave Shaper, Talking Modulator, Reverse Delay, Multiband Mod Delay, and Overb (taken from OASYS). It also features modded effects, incorporating VOX guitar amp, VOX wah, multi-head tape echo, and a range of vintage guitar pedals.

One of the most unique features are the Set Lists. Set Lists allow you to organize sequences and patterns for live performance. They provide you with instant access to your patterns at the touch of a button. With the addition of smooth audio transitions, you can use previously played voices and effects to resonate naturally. The Wavestate MK2 features a 37-key velocity-sensitive keyboard for smooth expression and playability.

Wavestate MKII offers a wide range of connectivity, including balanced stereo outputs and a stereo headphone output. Din-style MIDI jacks provide the means to connect Wavestate MKII to other instruments and MIDI equipment. The class-compliant USB MIDI connection makes it easier than ever to use Wavestate MKII for professional music production. It also comes complete with its own customized library program for Windows and Mac.

The unique dark aesthetic is reminiscent of vintage synthesizers with the addition of a crisp OLED screen that can be used to navigate settings, sounds and parameters. It also features 37 full-size keys that offer a comfortable feel. From stage to studio, the Korg Wavestate MKII is a powerhouse of sequencing and sound design.
