The monotron DELAY is an analog synthesizer designed and optimized for creating sound effects.

In addition to the analog oscillator, filter, and LFO this new model in the monotron series offers a Space Delay essential for creating distinctive, "cosmic" sounds.

By varying the delay time, the monotron delay also reproduces the classic pitch fluctuations typical of analog tape echoes of the past. This impressive and warm delay will add an extra touch of authenticity to your analog sounds.

The Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) is used to modulate the pitch and in this monotron model provides two different user-selectable waveforms: square and triangle. Both parameters of rate (velocity) and intensity (depth) can be hypostable independently by respective potentiometers.

For greater versatility, the trimpot located in the rear panel can be used to continuously control the shape of the triangle wave, or the amplitude of the square wave. Used in conjunction with the delay, the LFO creates interesting effects and provides the ability to embellish and make the generated sounds special and unique.

The ribbon keyboard of the DELAY monotron controls a 4-octave range. This is designed to control pitch more aggressively and dynamically, to make the monotron delay an instrument particularly suited for creating special effects.

The keyboard's inverted coloring and distinctive graphics will stand out in the darkness of the room, adding an important visual impact to the sonic one. monotron DELAY employs the same VCF circuitry as the historic KORG MS-10 and MS-20 semi-modular synths. Made 30 years ago, these synthesizers are still highly sought after by enthusiasts and insiders today.

The VCF's Cutoff potentiometer allows you to select the low-pass filter cutoff point, while the Peak potentiometer is used to control resonance.

Thanks to the mini-jack "Aux In" input available in the rear panel, you can connect any external audio source to the monotron DELAY, such as a Kaossilator, a guitar, or a CD and/or .mp3 player, in order to process it through the resonant low-pass filter and Space Delay effect.
