Technical Notes

1. Whenever a DisplayLink Adapter is connected to a Mac computer, macOS Digital Rights Management protection software prevents Apple’s TV app from showing any video content. Streaming content, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, etc, can instead be viewed using the Google Chrome browser. See this tech note for how to configure Chrome.
2. Charging rate varies according to overall power usage. When sleeping, any connected computer that supports Thunderbolt or USB-C charging will be charged to 100% by the dock.
3. Some resolutions, especially “Retina” ones, may be missing on Apple M1/M2 series  Macs.
