Korg opsix module

Altered FM synthesizer

Korg opsix module offers all the same features and specifications as the opsix MKII advanced FM digital synthesizer in a compact, desktop, keyboard-less, 19" rack-mountable version with 80 polyphonic voices. The same controls and intuitive interface as the original hardware.

This model of the opsix synth supports MIDI 2.0 and poly aftertouch-a great companion for the Korg Keystage master keyboard. It is also fully compatible with the sounds of the original opsix, opsix mk II and opsix SE and native opsix software, as well as the many excellent third-party libraries available on the market. Easily transportable, it fits perfectly in any studio or live placement.

Support for MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange and Polyphonic Aftertouch

With the latest software updates, all opsix models, hardware and software support MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange. Hundreds of the original factory sounds have been updated to include Polyphonic Aftertouch modulation (Channel Aftertouch also supported). All this makes the opsix module an excellent companion for KORG's Keystage controller.

Rack and Desktop Mounting

The opsix module is intelligently designed for both desktop and rack use. The dashboard has been redesigned to fit a standard 19" width, and the rear socket panel has been recessed to allow easy access to cables, even with equipment mounted directly above the unit. In desktop configurations, the brackets offer two orientation options: flat for performing standing, or more upright for working seated in your studio.

Many musicians, performers and producers have requested a compact version of the opsix. Now that components are back in stock after a long period of supply chain disruptions, KORG is pleased to make this request a reality.

Korg opsix module features

  • Maximum polyphony: 80 voices
  • Dimensions and weight: 482x172x104mm; 1.7KG

NB: All other specifications are the same as for the opsix mk II
