KORG volca sample 2 USB is the next generation volca sample with more memory, new features, and expanded connectivity to take sample-based beat production to the next level. The volca sample is a powerful and compact audio sample-based drum machine that has been a hit with musicians, sound designers, producers, and DJs worldwide.

Korg volca sample USB 2 retains the features that made the previous version so popular and adds a micro USB port to streamline sound loading and management, a larger memory, a revamped and updated sound library, and additional features that optimize interaction and music production with the instrument.

Your portable beat production studio

The volca sample has everything you need to create the music you prefer. It's small and you can take it with you anywhere! It is an advanced sampler, with a sound engine capable of 8 polyphony voices, a digital reverb, a powerful double filter, and numerous potentiometers for real-time interaction on the editing parameters of your sounds. The volca sample 2 USB weighs only 372 grams (excluding batteries), is powered by 6 AA batteries and has a built-in amplified sound speaker to play wherever you want.

What's more, with its USB port, SYNC input and output, and DIN-format MIDI IN jack, this instrument becomes a great sonic ally for your work in the recording studio and/or on stage. USB connection for faster sample management

The volca sample 2's built-in micro USB port allows you to connect it to your computer to control and manage your samples. You can control, synchronize and play your volca sample 2 from any DAW software. In addition, individual MIDI channels can be assigned to different parts, allowing you to play more smoothly and articulately with sequencers or keyboards.

Simplified Sample and Pattern Management at the Computer

With the volca sample 2 Software Librarian (available for Mac and PC via download from the KORG website) you can use the USB port to manage, send and receive your audio samples and patterns almost instantaneously. You can also use the iOS AudioPocket app to record your sounds on the fly and then transfer them directly to your volca sample.

New Functions for Your Beats

There are two functions that Korg has added in the volca sample 2 USB to support you in your music production:

• Pattern Chain mode with 2 different STEP JUMP modes.
• Start delay: go "off grid" with the new start delay function that will allow you to play particular grooves and swings on your sequence parts.

More Memory, more Patterns, more Sample and Bonus Packs!

KORG volca sample 2 USB has an enhanced memory, as many as 200 memory slots: twice as many as the previous model. 50 have been left empty, so you can immediately import your sounds, or previously made libraries. 6 more, i.e., 16 instead of 10, are the available Pattern memories. volca sample 2 USB comes with a new sound package that has been carefully programmed and selected to satisfy the current sound needs of beat makers of any musical genre. It is a selection of 150 sounds, which include audio samples covering the latest EDM genres: Future bass, Trap, Lo-Fi Hip-Hop and many more.

To celebrate this new generation of sample volca, Korg has collaborated with two of the most innovative and influential artists, Moe Shop and TORIENA, who are recognized as pioneers of the Kawaii Future Bass and Chiptune genres, as well as for their distinct creativity in using samples.
