The Neve 1073 LB being 500 format, it can be used with either rear connections to the chassis or front connections by acting on the Front switch.
Classic red main knob for preamp gain; as always single potentiometer for both Line and microphone.
Switch for selecting low or high impedance at microphone level and phase inversion, useful if we record simultaneously with two microphones in stereo configuration.
The output potentiometer called "Trim" by Neve, is the one also responsible for activating 48V phantom power when used as a button. A red light will obviously indicate the activation status.
Of course we find the classic Neve 1073 sound again, warm and harmonious especially when we pull the preamp.
The result is always very present and robust which helps so much in the following mixing phase, thus saving, time and frustrations 😊
A preamplifier that as I always say, if used to achieve analog saturations at high gain levels, can be used quietly in an artistic way bringing out an interesting sonic paste.
