This module includes special features like independent accent levels, a high-powered gain stage, dual input pulse-shaper, and an adjustable noise source, all while retaining the classic 1980s TR-808 sound.
The SD808’s analog design ensures tight, snappy sounds, using two sine waves and a noise source. It also offers versatile front panel controls for creating various electronic percussion sounds. The noise source is based on a later TR-808 circuit, producing a slightly darker and more realistic snare. The high-powered gain stage and dual pulse-shaper circuit ensure consistent, high-quality sound from any pulse source, making the SD808 an easy and powerful addition to any modular synth setup.
