The Lindy HDMI & IR Cat.6 Extender 4x4 Matrix is a simple to use plug and play solution that allows users to extend four independent HDMI signals up to 50m and then distribute those signals to four remote displays using low cost Cat.6 U/UTP cable (not included). Each of the 4 outputs is also simultaneously mirrored to local HDMI output ports, perfect for monitoring outputs or for the creation of a secondary local zone. For added convenience IR signals (20-60kHz) can also be extended using the supplied IR receiver and emitter cables.
Power over Cat.6 (PoC) functionality provides power for the complete installation using only a single power supply connected to the Matrix - a perfect solution for retro fit installations where receivers may be located away from a mains power supply. The power supply is connected via a screw type DC jack, providing a secure and reliable connection, ideal for installations where accidental disconnections could occur. For added convenience the receiver’s slim design and integrated mounting brackets make them easy to install in limited spaces behind modern flat screen displays.
The Matrix can be controlled via push button, IR, RS-232 and TCP/IP, allowing it to be controlled locally or integrated into a larger AV installation using a dedicated control platform.
This flexible feature rich product has been designed to be used in a number of different applications, such as:
Domestic HDMI matrix system
Video/TV wall display and control
Security surveillance and control
Commercial advertising, display and control
University lecture hall display and control
Retail sales and demonstration
*Please Note: The quoted lengths and resolutions are possible with a direct connection between transmitter and receiver using good quality Cat.6 solid core cable. Using a different cable type, or introducing wall plates, couplers or patch panels will result in a reduction of possible distances.
