2 x SSL Mic/Line Inputs: SSL 2 MKII features two high-performance microphone preamplifiers designed by SSL. With a wide gain range of 64 dB and an incredible dynamic range of 116.5 dB, the preamplifiers deliver extraordinary sound with all the detail and impact you would expect from the world's leading manufacturer of mixing consoles.
The design uses a combination of carefully chosen low-noise discrete transistors along with integrated circuits to deliver performance far beyond that usually associated with a bus-powered portable interface.
The SSL 2 MKII's ultra-quiet preamplifiers are capable of getting the most out of any microphone.
Both channels feature independent high-pass filters to eliminate background noise and, for condenser microphones, switchable +48V phantom power, so you can record with different types of microphones simultaneously. The XLR combo inputs on the SSL 2 MKII also function as line inputs, designed to capture keyboards, synths, samplers, drum machines or external audio processors such as EQs and compressors.
With a huge dynamic range of 117 dB and a maximum input level of +24 dBu, SSL 2 MKII's line inputs are compatible with all professional line-level equipment.

2 x Balanced Monitor Outputs: On the back of the SSL 2 MKII are left/right balanced outputs for connecting studio monitors. With professional-grade monitor outputs, the SSL 2 MKII offers 120 dB dynamic range, allowing you to hear every detail in your productions, from the subtlest riff to the deepest bass line.

2 x Headphone Outputs: SSL 2 MKII features two headphone outputs on the front panel. These redesigned outputs (equipped with an NJM high-current headphone amplifier) can drive any type of headphone, from small in-ear monitors to models with large diaphragms.
