The quality of this distinctive sound is not limited to words alone and cannot be analyzed: it is the unmistakable tube sound. The Volca NuBass is the first analog synth equipped with Nutube, the next generation of valves. Valve and analog for a warm, rich, fat sound.

The transistor ladder filter provides the character of a classic bass machine, with overdrive for the inevitable distortion needed to reproduce the typical aggression and overbearingness worthy of a bass synth line. A next-generation acid bass machine that combines classic sound with a modern synth design.

Even if you plan to use Volca NuBass as part of a larger synth rig, you'll definitely want to spend some time with the built-in sequencers to appreciate how much creative potential there is. The 16-step sequencer can concatenate patterns to create longer grooves, and you can string notes and add glides and accents for sour bass lines. And using the motion sequencer, you can record knob movements to add motion and variety to your lines.

Do you already have some Volca modules, or perhaps a Korg Electribe or "-logue" synthesizer? Volca NuBass includes Korg's I/O sync to integrate it with the rest of your equipment. Outside of the Korg world, NuBass offers standard MIDI input.
