When the ARP 2600 FS was announced in January 2020, it quickly became a big hit thanks to contributions from musicians around the world who immediately recognized its fidelity to the original ARP 2600.
The ARP 2600 M is about 60 percent of the original size, making it lighter, more portable, and easier to place and use in a studio. It incorporates the same analog circuits and components as the ARP 2600 FS, thus faithfully reproducing the characteristic ARP sound.
The ARP 2600 M is built in Japan with the same care and extraordinary quality standard as the ARP 2600 FS and uses the same analog components to accurately reproduce the sound and feel of the original. The Spring Reverb has been redesigned and adapted to the size of the new cabinet while keeping its features intact.
The ARP 2600 M comes with a dedicated case that not only protects your instrument but also makes it easy to transport, thanks to its custom wheels with special shock-absorbing damping technology. There is also enough room to carry other devices such as your favorite Volca, SQ-64 or MIDI controller!
It is no accident that the ARP 2600 has been so popular to this day, more than just a synthesizer the ARP 2600 M is a complete Sound Design studio. Even today the ARP 2600 stands as a bridge between the individual elements of modular synthesis and the immediacy of a production/performance tool.
It includes oscillators, envelopes, a filter and an amplifier: all the building blocks of analog synthesis, but the ARP 2600 M goes even further, with a spring reverb and even a pair of built-in monitor speakers. It is versatile as a vintage modular system but simpler to use, with circuits such as ring modulation, delay and voltage processors, an Envelope Follover, audio preamp, a clockable switch, a noise source, a sample-and-hold module, signal inverters, an auxiliary mixer, and even a set of parallel/multiple jacks.
The ARP 2600 M comes with a variety of music software from Izotope including "Ozone Elements" which allows you to master music tracks using artificial intelligence, "Skoove" which helps improve skills on the keyboard, "Reason Lite" DAW software, as well as software synthesizers from KORG and other brands. In other words, the moment you get your hands on this synthesizer you will also have a variety of powerful tools for producing music.
