The Sequential Trigon 6 in this Desktop version offers the same, identical, powerful analog sound generation architecture as the 49-key keyboard version that is driving the world of sound synthesis enthusiasts crazy. So now, these sounds are also accessible in a compact desktop format that can be easily placed in any set-up, studio or live. Compatible with MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE). The Sequential Trigon 6 in this desktop version is a compact and portable instrument that retains all the sound generation capabilities found in the keyboard version.
In fact, the voice architecture is identical: three oscillators per voice and a ladder filter that has been upgraded with a dedicated drive and feedback control, making it easy to switch from silky smooth to bold and "crunchy" sound through the simple turn of a knob. This versatility makes the Trigon-6 the perfect companion for your studio or live performance.
Trigon-6 allows you to shape each note with MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE), an extension of the MIDI protocol that allows compatible devices to control multiple parameters within individual notes in compatible synthesizers. This ensures more expressive instrumental performances, as each note can have its own pitch bend, filter cutoff, amplitude and other modulations.
The desktop module is not just a simple scaled-down version of the Trigon-6 keyboard. It is an expressive and powerful instrument that produces a warm and organic analog sound.
"Desktop module designs continue to be a popular choice among our users," said CEO David Gibbons. "We spent a little more time on MIDI polyphonic expression capabilities as we finalized this instrument, in anticipation of people pairing it with some of the fantastic MPE controllers available on the market. We can't wait to hear what users will do with this fantastic, compact instrument!"
The Sequential Trigon-6 synthesizer is a testament to the legacy and innovation brought forth by the late Dave Smith. An instrument that sums up all the best qualities of Sequential's Prophet-6 and OB-6 synthesizers: 6-voice polyphony, unparalleled ease of programming.
It also features an LFO, a polyphonic step sequencer, an arpeggiator and a dual effects processor with chorus, ring modulation, flanger, phaser, delay and reverb.
