Instruō øchd expander is coming soon

Veröffentlicht am 26/10/2023

Designed in collaboration with Ben “DivKid” Wilson, the Instruō øchd packs 8 all analogue LFO’s into a convenient 4HP package.

In the unit, each independent core is free running with rates configured from fastest to slowest arranged from top to bottom.

Each frequency range was tuned by ear during development to give the optimum spread of control frequencies running in parallel.

Being 100% analogue, the LFO’s will phase organically with the ability to ebb and flow together with their global frequency control.

The new øchd expander

The øchd's 8 analogue outputs can now be tripled with a further 16 unique control voltage sources by pairing it with the new module øchd expander.

All outputs are derived from combinations of the 8 analogue triangle LFO cores to produce an extravagant range of variable voltages, triggers and 4x 4-Bit DAC based stepped random voltage sources which are best described as flavors of "slow noise".

Enhance your existing modulation capabilities immediately with this 4HP cluster of control voltage capabilities.

Obviously an øchd is required. All required cables are included with the expander.

The unit features the following:

  • 4 full wave rectifiers
  • 2 pairs of analogue diode logic Max/Min signal generators
  • 4 trigger sources which can combine in a cascaded fashion through normal connections
  • 4 4-Bit DAC outputs generating variations of slow noise

The full wave rectifiers invert the negative portions of the LFOs to provide positive signals (0 to 5 V) with doubled frequency.

The analogue diode logic pairs create complex waves (positive or negative) depending by the actual shape of the LFO signals.

The Cascading triggers generate fast (8 msec) pulses at the minimum values of the LFO signals.

The 4 4-Bit DACs are capable of generating random signals to generate different flavors of slow noise.
