Sintetizzatore semi-modulare completamente analogico in stile West Coast

Il sintetizzatore Cre8audio West Pest combina la funzionalità di 5 singoli moduli sintetizzatori modulari dietro un unico pannello. Collega diverse funzioni utilizzando cavi patch per creare suoni e trame complessi. Il percorso del segnale West Pest è diviso in due tipi di segnali: segnali audio e tensioni di controllo. Il segnale audio è il suono che viene prodotto. Il percorso del segnale audio parte da un oscillatore o da un'altra sorgente sonora. Il segnale audio viene quindi collegato tramite altre funzioni utilizzate per modellare il suono, ad esempio un wavefolder o un controller di dinamica. Le tensioni di controllo (CV) manipolano il segnale audio in diversi modi. I gate sono rappresentati da una tensione di controllo alta (5 volt) o bassa (0 volt). Un gate può essere generato utilizzando un impulso o un'onda quadra da un oscillatore o una sorgente di modulazione, oppure utilizzando il gate MIDI o l'uscita di clock. Un cancello può essere modellato utilizzando l'inviluppo per controllare l'attacco, il decadimento, il sostegno e il rilascio del cancello. Il segnale di gate modificato può quindi essere inviato a qualsiasi ingresso Modulation CV sul West Pest. Un secondo utilizzo per le tensioni di controllo è come sorgente di modulazione. Ad esempio, una tensione di controllo dall'uscita del pitch MIDI collegata all'ingresso Contour Fold Mod sul modulo Waveform Contour controlla l'intensità del fold dell'onda in base alla nota midi ricevuta. L'LFO fornisce un oscillatore a bassa frequenza separato che costituisce una perfetta sorgente di modulazione della tensione di controllo. I segnali di modulazione della frequenza audio costituiscono anche un'ottima sorgente CV per l'oscillatore FM (modulazione di frequenza).
