Introduced in 1981, the Music Recording 3 (MR3) console quickly became the instrument of choice for many leading engineers and studios around the world, helping to create some of the most iconic albums of the 1970s and 1980s. Thanks to the MR3eq module, Harrison's distinctive sound is now accessible in the 500 series format.

The MR3eq is a high-performance analog equalizer that is the result of decades of experience in equalizer and filter design. The circuit design of this equalizer allows it to perform precision surgical operations or be extremely musical, thanks to the wide interaction between the bands, a feature that can give rich and colorful sounds
This powerful three-band parametric equalizer features 6 dB/octave Low and High Shelving filters, which can be switched to 2nd-order Peak filters with Harrison's renowned proportional Q. The midrange band offers continuously variable Q, while the separate high-pass filter section includes a characteristic 3-dB resonant peak. The MR3eq's flexible design and powerful sound-sculpting capabilities make it a versatile tool capable of enhancing a wide range of sources, proving equally effective in both tracking and mixing.
