The BBC recently opened four new studios at London's historic Broadcasting House, equipping them with the excellence of PMC products. The new studios are part of the BBC's Broadcasting House's Popular Music Hub and are used by top stations such as Radio 2, Radio 1, and 6 Music.
The project, overseen by renowned broadcast systems integrator IPE, involved installing PMC6 2-way active monitors paired with a PMC8 Sub in the new studios. These monitors were chosen for their unparalleled clarity, resolution, and neutrality, qualities essential to meet the rigorous demands of BBC music production.
The partnership between PMC and the BBC, after all, goes back more than 30 years. Peter Thomas, founder and president of PMC, began his career with the BBC in 1977 as an engineer and later as technical manager. This collaboration led to the creation of the legendary BB5 monitors, still in use in recording studios around the world, with the BB6 Active, in production today, representing the latest design evolution.
At Milk Audio Store, we share the same passion for uncompromising audio quality that guided BBC in its choice of PMC monitors.
Our wide selection of PMC products is a testament to our commitment to dealing only with brands that meet the highest standards of excellence, just like those chosen by the BBC for its studios in London's Broadcasting House.
